Togo in the World Cup Finals

Togo qualified for the 2006 World Cup Finals on October 8th, 2005.

World Cup Appearances:
Germany 2006 is Togo's 1st appearance in the World Cup Finals.

Best World Cup Performance:
Qualifying for Germany 2006.

Togo World Cup Preparations

Togo were the first team to arrive in Germany; landing in Stuttgart on Monday 15th May.

While the Nigerian trainer, Stephen Keshi, took Togo to the finals he was sacked in February after Togo's elimination from the African Nation's Cup. German-born Otto Pfister, who has had experience of training African teams, is now the man in charge.

Togo Team Hotel
After building up the hopes of staff at the Vitalia-Seehotel in Bad Segeberg (50km from Hamburg), Togo decided to set up camp in Wangen im Allgäu instead.

Togo will be staying in three-star comfort during the World Cup Finals.

World Cup in Wangen:
A special World Cup site has been set up for Togo fans making their way over to this part of Germany.
