World Cup Fantasy - Drafted League

I hope the last links we posted has helped some of you find the fantasy World Cup game that's right for you and that one of you wins a prize.

Of course, playing fantasy football is not always about winning a prize but competing for fun with people in a 'private league'.

One of the things we do on Big Soccer, during the Premier League season, is get together to form a drafted league (or two) where no player may appear on another team. We then have head-to-head fixtures and internal cup competitions.

This takes a lot of work on my part to run but there was an interesting game at FFLO on the same idea, which is more automated; although still has a few flaws. The one good thing is you don't all have to be online at the same time to go through the draft; although that is half the fun.

Anyway, back on the the World Cup, we've also done a drafted league (of 11 managers) on the Metro Fantasy Site.

The draft went reasonably smoothly, although I had draft position 8 and missed a couple of rounds when my cable Internet packed up for three days.

Some managers, myself included (out of neccesity) have made a few changes from their original draft and the line-ups are almost ready to be locked in.

This is what we have:
